Radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Being able to see inside our pets is an amazing diagnostic tool. At AREPH we offer a range of imaging including radiographs, ultrasounds, endoscopy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
A wide range of problems can be diagnosed with the correct imaging including broken bones, ingestion of foreign objects, heavy metal poisoning, enlarged, contracted, or damaged internal organs and neurological conditions.
Our vets will determine if imaging is required to help diagnose your pet’s illness or injury.
We can determine or confirm the sex of your bird, reptile and small mammal.
Birds are sexed by blood sample which is DNA tested, reptiles are generally sexed by medical probing and mammals are sexed by visual examination.
Clinical pathology and pathology services
As our pets can’t talk and tell us how they are feeling, it is important to be thorough and check what is happening in our pet’s system.
Testing a range of bodily fluids such as blood, saliva, urine, faeces, abdominal fluids, or taking a biopsy samples, can easily and quickly reveal answers to a patient’s problems.
Our vets will determine what testing may be required to help diagnose your pet’s illness or injury.
If one of your pets has passed away suddenly and you would like to know why, our vets can perform complete necropsy and histopathology testing to help establish a cause of death.
Keep the body as cool as possible without freezing and contact us ASAP to arrange this service.
